Dont run with scissors!

It is the supreme art of the teacher
to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.
-Albert Einstein

We grabbed an old magazine
and new spring hinged scissors...........

And practiced cutting.
I had forgotten how hard this is.
Practice makes perfect.
(remember what mama said, "dont run with scissors!")

  1. We got some kind of 'practice cutting' book that really is good for first straight lines and then zig-zags and then curves. I try and stop Ella when she gets frustrated. The book uses the pages to create little puppets and things she can see--a tiger in the grass or a lion's mane...just drawing something with markers as a goal might make her feel good. Bravo!!
