The Lady of Bolton Hill

I just love a story that begins with two young people getting to know each other and how the friendship blossoms into a love story. This story was one of my favorite novels read this year. The writer, Elizabeth Camden, has a nice style which leaves the reader engrossed in a story which seems very Realistic. I appreciated the research that went into the story and the twists and turns which kept my interest. I cannot wait to see what the Author has for us to read next time. A sequel? The story begins in Baltimore, Maryland in 1864. A young boy growing up under hard circumstances and a young woman from a privledged family both having a love of music. Thier lives take different courses but they cross paths again twelve years later, both changed by life and maturity. I love the vibrant characters, they are intelligent and the conversations/ situations are gripping. I highly recommend this book to those of you that enjoy a good historical novel. This is a plot you may have read before but You will forget that when reading this one!!!
I will give this book five out of five stars.
